Pro Tool

Column Alignment Studio — Fix Misaligned Statements

When a statement's columns don't line up automatically, open the Column Alignment Studio: the PDF page renders beside a live preview, and you drag the column guides until every transaction is correct. It is the fastest way to get an accurate bank statement converter result on unusual layouts.

  • Split-screen PDF & live preview

The statement page renders on the left while the extracted rows update instantly on the right as you drag.

  • Draggable column guides

Add or remove dividers and map each column to Date, Description, Debit, Credit, Amount, Balance or Type. Drag the row handles to skip headers and footers.

  • Private, reusable presets

Save the layout for that bank and it is applied automatically next time. Presets store only geometry and field names — never your data.

FAQ

Frequently Asked Questions

How do I convert a PDF bank statement to Excel or CSV?

Drop your PDF bank statement into the converter above. SheetParse extracts every transaction table right in your browser, lets you review and edit the rows, then export a clean .xlsx or .csv file — no sign-up, no upload, no waiting.

Is it safe to convert my bank statement with SheetParse?

Yes. SheetParse is 100% local-first: your PDF is parsed entirely inside your browser using WebAssembly and Web Workers. Your statements, transactions, and account details are never uploaded to a server — and once the app has been loaded once, it works offline for future conversions.

Can SheetParse open password-protected PDF bank statements?

Yes. If your statement PDF is password-protected, SheetParse asks for the password and unlocks the document locally in your browser. The password is used only in memory and is never transmitted or stored.

Are the exported Excel amounts real numbers or text?

Real numbers. Every amount and balance is converted to a strict numeric cell before export, so SUM and other formulas calculate correctly in Excel, Google Sheets, QuickBooks and Xero. Dates and references stay as text.

Can I convert multiple bank statements at once (batch processing)?

SheetParse converts one PDF at a time, and a multi-page statement is automatically merged into a single transaction table. Batch or ZIP upload is not supported yet, but you can convert statements one after another.

Does it work with scanned bank statements?

Yes. If a statement has no embedded text, SheetParse automatically falls back to built-in OCR (optical character recognition) to extract transactions from scanned pages — all processed locally on your device.

Which banks and statement formats are supported?

SheetParse works with any bank that produces a tabular transaction listing — with tuned profiles for Kotak, HDFC, ICICI, Axis, and SBI Credit Card, plus generic auto-detection for other banks such as Chase, Bank of America, Barclays and HSBC. Dates, descriptions, debit/credit amounts, and balances are detected automatically.

Can I import the exported file into QuickBooks, Xero, or Excel?

Yes. Exports are clean spreadsheets with real numeric amounts (not text), header rows, and standard date formats — ready for QuickBooks, Xero, Wave, Google Sheets, or Microsoft Excel. Math formulas sum correctly because every amount is a strict number.

Is there a file size or page limit?

You can convert PDF statements up to 50MB with any number of pages. Multi-page statements are merged into a single transaction table automatically.

Is SheetParse free to use?

Yes. SheetParse is completely free with no account required, no watermarks, and no limits on the number of statements you convert.

Do I need to install anything or create an account?

No. SheetParse runs entirely in your browser — nothing to install, no email, no account. Just drop your PDF and export your spreadsheet.

What is the Column Alignment Studio?

It is a split-screen tool for fixing misaligned statements: the PDF page renders on the left with draggable column guides, and the extracted rows update live on the right. Map each column to Date, Description, Debit, Credit, Amount, Balance or Type, then save the layout as a preset for that bank. The preset stores only geometry and field names — never your data.

Can I request support for my bank's statement layout?

Yes. If your bank or a particular statement layout isn't supported yet, request it through the contact form. You do not need to send a real statement — a screenshot, a blank template, or a redacted statement (names, account numbers and amounts hidden) is all we need to add support.
